Farm Living in the Suburbs: Challenges and Perks. When moving to the suburbs, you can have so many choices to make it look like your world has stopped completely and that you are stuck where you are. However, if you plan things right you can have the home of your dreams and still live in the city. There are plenty of pros and cons to living in the suburbs versus living on a farm. The following are just some of the many issues you should take into consideration.
A challenging thing about living in the city is people take you for granted. You are their pocket book and you get whatever they want. They don’t realize how lucky they are to have you as their neighbor or how lucky they are to be you. For these people it is difficult to have this realization when they see you complaining about all the challenges you are having. To them you seem hard work.
In the suburbs however, people are not as lucky. It’s not common to find someone who owns a farm or has chickens or a horse. In fact these things seem old fashioned and weird. Therefore they don’t see you as their neighbor; they view you as another person who lives in the area.
Another thing that is different about living in the suburbs is the price of property. Since the city is full of people, it goes without saying that property values will be more expensive. In the farm or small town there is less competition for land. Therefore the prices will usually be lower.

For those who are interested in having a quiet life and doing their own thing, farm living is the way to go. You can do your own thing, cook your own meals and shop for your own needs. If you don’t like competing with other neighbors, you won’t find many neighbors to argue with. Farm living also provides privacy.
Farm living provides its own challenge and perk. For example, you are on your own. So how do you approach strangers? How do you get around the busy roads and crowded spaces in the city? How do you find your way back home after dark? These are all important things to consider when deciding to live on your own in the suburbs.
The biggest challenge of farm living is that the lifestyle is different. This lifestyle is very different than the one we follow in the city where we have so many people around us and many things to worry about. Farm living is an experience you will never forget and will always give you the feeling of being totally on your own. If this doesn’t appeal to you, then living in the suburbs may be a great alternative for you.
The perks of having your own farm are plentiful as well. You get a great deal of time and space to yourself. You can set up your very own kitchen where you can cook whatever you want for dinner. You also have a garden where you can grow your own herbs and vegetables. Finally, there is plenty of room to roam because there aren’t any boundaries in the farm houses so you can roam where ever you want to.
There are some challenges that come with living in a farm house though. The first challenge is the fact that you have neighbors. There are hundreds to choose from and each has their own distinct personality that you may not like. For example, if there is a dog outside every night you might be a bit leery about letting the dog in or out at night. However, a few neighbors may be so nice that you decide to open your doors to them and make them your friends.
Another challenge of living in the country is that you don’t have neighbors close by like you do in the city. For example, if you have neighbors out in the country, it could be easy for your dogs to get into trouble. Then you have to take them to the park to walk their dogs. This is something you would have to do on a regular basis if you wanted to keep the neighborhood peaceful.
Farm Living in the suburbs can have many challenges. However, if you are prepared, they can be almost nonexistent. That is the greatest thing about having farm living. There is no one to look out for your well-being or to bother you at all. If you want to enjoy a stress free life, then a farm home may be just what you are looking for!
